I’m not holding out much hope for the new knightrider pilot, mostly due to the lack of a Pontiac Trans-AM.  At least Glenn A Larson is back as executive producer to give it some form of credibility.

Here’s a little behind the scenes article from Muscle Car Blog - featuring the guys from Auto Indulgence, Inc who created the scanning hood light for the new K.I.T.T.

Their site takes us through the process from start to finish and documents their efforts and the various different revisions they had to create before finally coming up with the finished article.

A total of 288 LED’s were used in the form of Luxor LED units. It also has 1/8" tinted acrylic fitted over the top to make the light invisible when it is powered off but also allows it to shine through when turned on.
